Did anyone see the sports thumbnail on the little kid that was sitting behind a couple that caught a foul ball and didn't give the ball to him? Cause clearly the kid never had his hand on the ball-and yet- crossed him arms and commenced to sulk because he didn't get the ball- or wasn't "given" the ball- don't really know what his problem was-but he kept sulking for the longest time- and the news commentators were commenting that he might be--no he wasn't coming out of it. In the end there was such a take on the whole episode that he was given a baseball from the (i don't really know where) for being upset for not getting the original ball. Whew!! I know i am in my late 50's but this just stuck in my craw for rewarding bad behavior-and sulking for that long a time -you wonder what else he sulks about and does everyone give into what he wants. I find this as a dis-service to this behavior. There was an article i read not so long ago what the manners are expected of 5,6,or 7 year olds-what age i forgot-but an age when they are taught and they practice. The please, thank you's, the opening the doors for the elderly and women, just being polite. What happened to our youth or is this only an "english thing" with the prim and proper etticut. Excuse the spelling. I find young people showing respect-so very refreshing -that i just stand back and praise them up and down. But I have yet to have this pleasure im afraid. I would think parents would instill this because it would reflect so highly on them as well. This sulkling kid-and rewarded given air time thinking it was -what- CUTE? i feel sorry for the rough road ahead for him.
