even if it has a prepaid label i still go to the post office and get it scanned and get a receipt. i just feel better that way AND i have proof that the item was sent back.

OP, as others mentioned, you can schedule a free USPS pickup if using the prepaid labels. You can leave the package outside your door or an option on the form you fill out is to have them ring the doorbell to get the package from you,
