Residential Real Estate Commissions Antitrust Settlement

[ Edited ]

I got a postcard notification that I may be part of the settlement class.

The lawsuit has to do with residential real estate brokerage commission pricefixing, and the eligibility dates can go back to 2014 and extend to 2/1/24. There are different dates associated with different brokerages.

Basically:

1. If you sold a house within the eligibility dates, and

2. Your house was listed on MLS, and

3. You used a broker, then

You MAY be eligible.

That's as far as I've gotten.

Good luck with this. My experience with several class action suits, is they take years and years. The payout is less than $5.00.
