That's odd because I read that retired military dogs are at a premium for adopting. There is a waiting list. By service dog, did you mean a military dog or something more like a Seeing Eye dog.

These wonderful service and therapy dogs would make wonderful buddies to adopt. I know first hand. Our Sandy [who passed a few weeks ago] was a therapy dog who worked with sick children. She was a love and we miss her. What a great idea... they deserve a great forever home. Thank you Baker.. I am going to see if they take donations? I would like to make a donation in Sandy name. I think this is a wonderful thing!!!

Just got my thank you picture post card from the owners of K9Heros Rescue for my donation. The picture shows the owners with these beautiful dogs at work and play, they certainly look well taken care of. My husband and I are planning a trip to the kennel when the weather gets nicer, can't wait to meet the dogs.
