Stopped in to say good morning and decided I might as well get something off my chest.

I have recently received many group e-mails and I have a couple of pet peeves...people who respond to the original poster by "Replying to All" rather than just "Replying". Do folks who "reply to all" really think that everyone needs to know that they think the baby's picture is cute? Or that they won't be able to attend the event? Anyone else irritated by this?

Also don't like to see 200 e-mail addresses displayed...use the "blind copy" feature...please don't share my e-mail address with everyone!

Feel better now that I've gotten this off my chest.

What's on your mind this morning?

I agree.

I know I've hit "reply to all" in error, but I try to be careful not to do that.

How about threads started on the same identical topic because someone didn't bother to check the index first? And it's argAn oil NOT argon oil. Argon is a gas! Whew, I feel better now.

Yes, that is annoying. I tend to reply to a single person when I should be replying to all which is probably equally annoying.

I agree completely! I, too, participate in a couple of groups where events are largely arranged by email. We've even gone so far as to include in our notices "please respond only to the sender with "yes, I will attend" or "sorry, can't make it" and people persist in sending long, way TMI missives to the entire group detailing their reasons for attending, not attending, being late, etc.

I would never be so arrogant as to presume that anyone would be interested in the details of what I may be doing that may prevent my participation.

I agree completely! I always do blind copies unless it's a specific group who are all friends.

Thanks for responding...it is good to know that I'm not alone in my thoughts about e-mails.

I have someone who does this frequently and I get page after page of other peoples addresses. I guess the other people get mine. I'm only glad the other people haven't added me to their list of contacts.

I never ""Reply to all"" unless it's a family thing we are all discussing.
