I saw that today too. She is just taking better care of herself and has this new love in her life. Uh huh.
Which if she doesn't want to discuss it that's fine! It's nobody's business. But to put out an explanation like that just makes her look disingenous and fuels more speculation (uh oh...just had a thought....maybe that's what she wants...keep her face at the forefront of the news).
Exactly! I just read her "excuse" today for her new look and thought what a crock! And her boyfriend is well, not very attractive. He has really bad hair.

People always make the remark that she had 'squinty eyes', but that's what made her Renee and no one else. I thought her original eyes were beautiful and unique.

Will Mr. Darcy still love her?

True, but hooded upper lids start to become problematic the older you get and they don't look too good at 50 as compared to 30. She's 45 now. Other than the typical aging pattern -- her lips thinning a bit and getting a little wider across her face as opposed to pouty -- and other than the ungroomed brows and the eye lift, which was probably a good and maybe even necessary move on her part, I'll say it again...I think she looks really good. I don't understand all the uproar about how different she looks. I do not see it. She's been out of the spotlight for a while so you're not going to see the same actress you saw in movies she did when she was in her 30's.

You said it...I didn't. LOL!

I looked closely at her face and studied several pictures. I think the only work she has had done (besides fillers) is an eye lift. I think her eyebrows which are less filled in really change her look the most. I was on a page that took her face today and photoshopped her old eyebrow shape in and she looked pretty much the same with the exception of a lift to the lid.

I agree as does my husband, he thought she was cute before and thinks the new look is a bit masculating.

Yes, I posted very early in this thread that I thought she may have had eye surgery because of heavy lids. She may have even had some difficulty seeing and it was a necessity. Notice also her forehead appears higher in the after photo but that may be because her face is more exposed in the after...
I agree with you, Irsh, it really is the lift to her eye lids.
O/T Hope you are recovering from the pneumonia. Take care of yourself!

Yes, I agree with you. I work for a derm and her eye shape (lids especially) is very prone to sagging that causes impaired vision.
Thanks so much!!

I don't understand why the media and everyone are making such a big deal about her look. She looks essentially the same. She's always had full lips. Only her eyes and jawline are different. Her eyes are more open, and her jawline is larger. The news media has been comparing old photos of her to current photos of her. Of course she looks different; she's much older! Had she not had botox injections and eye surgery, she would have looked a bit different anyway because she's aged a bit. She still looks like herself and she's still very attractive. It seems that females can't do anything right. If they age naturally, the complaint is "Oh, she doesn't look good. What's wrong with her? Why doesn't she do something with her face?" If they get a nip and tuck, the complaint is "I don't recognize her. Why did she do that? She looks weird." People need to give females a break.
