I did what it said to press and put in flowers and it is still not showing up on here but it is on the PROFILE area I go to ?????  I need to remove this picture

Did you hit 'save' at the end?  Usually, that is at the bottom of a screen for making a change.   HTH

I have pressed save changes and then tried again but its still here.  Thank you I can't figrue it out

          @DowntonAbbey,    I'm not sure about the flowers you're referencing, or exactly what you want to do.   If you want to switch to another image for your avatar (the image we see on each of your posts under your nickname) there are several things you can do, but I'll post one option and then you can let us know if you need more help.   

          Upload an image.   Then, go to your profile (just click on your nickname).    Look on the left side of the page, and under "My Images" click/tap "View Images for [yournickname]."   

          Click/tap the image you want to choose as an avatar.    Above the image you'll see "Image Options."   Click/tap that.   Choose "Use Image As Avatar."    The image will immediately become the avatar.   You don't have to save or take other steps -- just return to the forums.

What I see of your avatar, is a shrinkng version of what you started with.  It was your full face and shoulders, then just your face, and now just your arm.

          That's what I see, too, @september.    I was thinking...  since @DowntonAbbey said she used "save changes" I'm wondering if she clicked on her profile and then clicked directly on her avatar image -- when we do that it allows us to edit the image and save our changes.    It also has the option below the picture to choose another avatar but that option sometimes is glitchy.   

          This site is having problems (moreso than usual) so I hesitate to offer too many suggestions not knowing the specific problem or what kind of device and software is being used.

@dooBdoo   OT here, but since we're talking about avatars, what a cute little cat in yours!  Don't think I've noticed this before

          ❤️ Thanks, @september!    I switch the image from time to time...  this one is what I think my little cat would've looked like when she was a kitten.     She was more of a teenager when she emerged from the woods and rescued me, so I don't have any actual kitten pix of her.    When I saw this one online, it was the spitting image of a mini version of her.    She's a lovely little gray tuxie with a snowdrop on her nose.   eta:  I just saw what your avatar is!   How sweet!❤️

I figured out the problem-- she hasn't dragged the avatar border to what she wants to be seen as the tiny avatar on the forum. 

Sometimes you have to reposition the border for what part of the photo you want viewed.

Mine was between 4 and 6 months old when he came to my door.  I tell him every day, that he made a good choice! That really is him, in my avatar.  

it really seems special, when a pet chooses you, vs. the usual process.  You and your pretty gray cat are both lucky.
