Nobody.

Not only tosses the receipt, but SHREDS it, too?
That is so weird to think someone buys something and immediately shreds the receipt. What if you change your mind or find it is defective a couple days later? I keep my receipts for months.

I work at JCP. as long as you paid with some kind of a card (not cash or check) you don't have to call or ask for a manager. just give them the card that you used, they can swipe it, and bring up your activity in the store with that card. happens all the time. people lose their receipts. no big deal. if it was out of town, you could probably go to another store to get it removed. trying to remove it yourself by any means, not a good idea. trust me. I've seen when this happens.

I can't imagine shredding a receipt when I got home after buying something. Why do that?
Bash me if you will but I don't see the need for that. It doesn't have your credit/debit card info on it, it only has the last couple numbers, I believe.
I don't understand shredding it the minute you get home, what is someone going to see, and what if you need to return something because you change your mind, etc.?
I keep all my receipts in a cosmetics bag on my dresser, in case I need to return something. I keep them in the bag for a few months, and then throw them out, just to be sure I don't have a problem with something.

Me either. In fact, I find it very odd.
Yea, really don't get that either.

This is one of my pet peeves. I cannot tell you how many times this has happened to me (and my husband) I wish these sensors would set off the alarms while you are still in the store.

I don't see the need to shred the receipt the minute you get home. That, imo, is odd. Maybe it's just me...

Many retailers around where I live offer to email receipts. I would think if someone is going to shred receipts that would be a good option for them in the future. No paper clutter.....

The gals that work at my JCP & I were discussing this when they forgot to remove a tag on an article I purchased. They told me you just place the article in the freezer, then it removes easily.

A few years back, I got home from an out-of-town shopping trip, and found a security tag attached to one of my clothing items. I went online, and found that this type of tag didn't contain ink, and even found instructions on how to remove it myself. Are you sure this one is an ink tag?
Had the same type out-of-town purchase - a business suit. Had tried it on a the store and it was purchased for a special meeting several weeks later. Put it in the closet and didn't look at it till the night before. Was able to take it to another store in my mall - not the store where it was purchased and they removed it.
