Woman Happy   Welcome Back, @SurferWife

         You were sorely missed.

And, to,  et al

Thank you for this thought-filled remembrance.

May we never forget.      GIF--Nice-Waving-Flag.gif

May we continue to treasure those who gave their parts, their/our loved ones, &, gave their all.

May, the likes such as this such event, never, ever, ever happen again.

Sadly, Ira "Ike" Schab passed away on Saturday at 105 at his home in Oregon.

He had made many visits to Pearl Harbor memorial events in the past, but was unable to do so this year.

He was born July 4, 1920.  It is believed that there are now only 11 Pearl Harbor survivors.

Re: Remembering Pearl Harbor

I was about 7 or 8. Born 1936. Remember my We going off to War. He came home,  We kids had to wear name tags in just in case. tt We lived in San Francisco. We had regular air raids.  My grandmother had it hard. Even though her son was in the service and an American Citizen, she was not at time. She became one later.  She was born in Italy and so it was hard for her to go outside.  She could not go out before sunrise and had to be in before sunset.  Hard times for everyone.
