Re: Recs for artificial trees...

I don't know about brands, but I can say that I would never buy another pre-lit tree again!

Re: Recs for artificial trees...

I bought my tree at Costco 4 years ago.  It can be all white lights or multi-colored.   It looks as good as when I bought it.

Re: Recs for artificial trees...

My dream tree is a Balsam Hill tree in white but I have yet to pruchase one. I put up multiple trees in sizes 3' to 7 1/2' each year. I have Santa's Best, Bethlehem Lights and Vickermann..  I have been please with all of them and all of them have lasted for years and years.

If you want to get a tree locally I would also add the At Home store to your list. I was surprised to see the selection that they had in stock.

Re: Recs for artificial trees...

Two years ago I ordered one from Balsam Hill; their 4 1/2 ft Colorado Mountain Spruce one.  It's so beautiful - full and luscious and looks totally natural.  I already put it up and its 300 lights make it even lovelier.

The first year the lights were overly bright (I could have landed an airplane with it), but last year and this year the lights have become just right (I don't know how this happened)  Anyway, I and everyone loves it.

Re: Recs for artificial trees...

I almost never buy anything from Kmart, but last year when hubby and I were there for some reason, I noticed that they had some really lovely trees (the Jaclyn Smith collection).  We weren't even looking for a tree, but we found one we loved so much that we bought it.  We have a vaulted ceiling in our living room so we bought the largest one they had and I think it was around $150.  Below is the tree as we decorated it last year.
