Any gift ideas for my hair stylist? I usually bake something for the "front desk staff" who make appts. and do check outs", but always stumped for stylist gift. Cash just doesn't seem appropriate.

Cash is always the right size, nothing that duplicates won't go unused, or be given away. A gift card might be nice

I think they like cash or gift cards best.If you don't know what to buy then it probably will be something that is your taste and not necessarily hers.I like to be sure that gifts I give don't get stuck in a drawer or the regift pile.I think you can't go wrong with a bigger tip than normal and a thank you for how she makes you look fabulous.

I just double the cost of my December trim as my monthly payment and annual gift for her talents. She has always expressed her appreciation for my thoughtfulness.

I give her cash and usually take baked goods ( at their request ).

My stylist loves the cash and gift cards - especially to coffee shops as she stops at one every day on her way into the shop.

Cash is the ONLY appropriate gift for people who otherwise would get a boat load of things they don't like, don't want, or can't use. Please, cash--no matter how small the amount. Nice of you to think of your hairdresser!!!

It depends on your budget. If you don't have a lot of money give something like a nice body lotion or hand creme, pretty soaps or add an extra $5 or $10 to the tip. If you have more money to spend give $20 tip or a gift card to Sephora or ULTA. ![]()

A monetary gift is very appropriate and I'm sure it would be appreciated. Thanks for remembering your stylist!

If anyone wants to give someone a heartfelt gift out of the goodness of their heart, I'd never disapprove. However, for me, I dont think it is appropriate, nor should it be expected, to give a gift to one's hairdresser. I tip my hairdresser after after every cut, which makes sense to me. Holiday gift on top of that? No.
