Re: ?Recommendation: Purchasing New Blank Checks?

Our business uses Walmart checks. They are fast and cheap.

[ Edited ]

I always have since I opened my first checking account my Jr. year of high school in 1979 I  have ordered all my checks through my bank.  The bank I have been with since 1982 uses Harland.  I see no reason to change at this point anymore than I will change in writing checks.

Re: ?Recommendation: Purchasing New Blank Checks?

My bank changed ownership and changed all account numbers. They gave everyone ugly bank checks to start out. Four packs. I ordered  some more for the future from Bradford Checks. I had to to destroy my old ones.

I kept getting a fee for $14.99 every month billed on my credit card from Bradford. I forgot what it was  for but did NOT authorize it. They removed it and credited my CC.

Designer Checks used to have good deals for new accounts. They we're good.

Like most if us I don't write as many as in in years past. When there is a fee by the.business for CC use I write a check. I pay taxes via check so sometimes only option.

Re: ?Recommendation: Purchasing New Blank Checks?

I'vve been buying checks through the Styles Check Company (formerly Image Checks) for eons.  I use top-stub checks and they can be hard to find.  Styles has a good selection.

Re: ?Recommendation: Purchasing New Blank Checks?

I get 50 checks per year free from my bank and that's more than enough for me. There's no choice in the design (or lack thereof), but I really don't care what they look like, and neither does any person or entity that I might give one of them to.

Re: ?Recommendation: Purchasing New Blank Checks?

@JoyFilled Warrior  I find it interesting you & others in this thread are "paying" for checks.  I never have.

My bank has FREE checking which includes FREE checks up to 500 (100 cks per box) if you have a checking account.  You can pick the color, the # of checks & your design.  You can order by mail or have the bank do the ordering for you.

My checks are bright yellow w/just my name.  Very plain.  I call the bank to order.  I can either go to the bank to pick them up or have them mail directly to my home.

Re: ?Recommendation: Purchasing New Blank Checks?

My credit union used checks from Harland, though I haven't used checks in several years.

I've read articles claiming that check writing is getting obsolete and in a few years they won't be available anywhere.  According to what I've read on this forum, the articles could be wrong. I don't think they'll be completely discontinued in my lifetime.

I only order thru my bank, as the checks are free; with only a service fee and postage.

Re: ?Recommendation: Purchasing New Blank Checks?

Back when I used checks I only got them from my bank and they were free. I have a few checks left but I really can't remember the last time I wrote a check. I love having all my bills on line and even my church tithes are set up electronically.
