tuned in to her show briefly....just long enough to see her talking to a vendor selling a cleaning product....she said she has a friend who  paints the baseboards in her house on a monthly basis to elminate scuff marks....so she was going to recommend this product to her.....really kerstin? let's keep it real, please...

@nana59   I once heard Jennifer Stallone (Serious Skin Care) say she cleans her own bathrooms......yeah, sure.....You can Google a pic of the mansion she and Sly live in.

Who is doing all this baseboard scuffing anyway? I've had rowdy kids,dogs etc. Baseboards weren't a problem. Dusting them maybe but not scuff marks.

but how do you know for sure that it’s not true? just because many people might not do it, doesn’t mean it’s improbable that someone will. it’s a big world out there with all kinds of folk.

Can you imagine the build-up of paint after a year...2 years....4 years, if you painted your baseboards monthly? Whoa Nelly!

As for celebrities doing 'normal' things like cleaning their own bathrooms, I heard or read an interview a long time ago, with Lenny Kravitz.

He was talking about his mother (Roxie Roker, actress best known for The Jeffersons) and finding her on her hands and knees cleaning the bathroom in their home. 

I'm paraphrasing here, but essentially he told her they had people who do that kind of thing and she shouldn't be doing that. She set him straight about it being her home, her bathroom, and not being too good to clean her own space.

Hollywood has small pockets of normalcy.......sometimes.

EXACTLY!!!

The tiny house behind us had 5 kids.  The mom would have our GF use that white shoe polish in the tube w/ the spongy head to touch up all the scuff marks her brothers made EVERY SATURDAY!  Dabbed the paint right on the mark.  NOT monthly, WEEKLY!  We always felt sorry for her, LOL

I didn't have to do it and obviously the OP didn't have to do it...but people DO IT!

How about we just not nitpick on every single thing a host says?
