Just got a check from Real Simple returning my payment to renew my subscription - love this magazine - has anyone heard if it is no longer in business?

@queendiva - there was no explanation - just a check in the envelope -so I'm assuming it's no longer going to be published, otherwise, if I overpaid they would have applied it to another year's subscription.

Hmm. I just got a card in the mail saying my script would be automatically renewed unless I called. I actually called andcancelled. I find I'm  reading the issues less and less . I think I'm also irritated by their politically influenced posts on facebook. I'm wondering if others feel the same? Perhaps this is why they might be going under. I prefer my magazines to stick to recipes and beauty  instead of political commentary, especially when it's a view I don't share.

@Mermaid22 - I don't like the "auto renew" either - I don't like it that it is put on me to call them to tell them I don't want an auto renew.  I cancelled a magazine lately because they said unless I called, it would be auto renewed - nope - that's my decision!

I have a ton of magazine subscriptions and that is one of my favorite. You can get some great deals on subscriptions nowadays.

I hope not. My subscription is valid thru 2020.

I don't use Facebook so I have no idea what type of political comments are being posted.

IF you don't pay for it how can they keep renewing ,unless you are paying by CC

I don't give anyone access to automatically do anything on my CC
