There is no reason to get rid of it, imho.
I agree and I posted on the Community thread that the webbies posted asking why they were going to remove the long standing threads. I suggested that they hadn't explained it very well since they agreed they were harmless and people could restart them.
scottie,
I wrote something on that thread. Thank you for your post there.

I just re-read scottie's post, which had this:
Most survey participants want QVC to close these older posts after a certain time period (see results here). However the supporting comments really helped us make the decision to basically leave these long standing posts alone.
Should we take that to mean they won't be deleted?

They should only close long running threads if
a. there is no more activity on them OR
b. the threads are too large and it causes issues with backup procedures

That's what is so confusing. It sounds like maybe they are going to leave them alone until January at which time they are going to close comment and leave the option available to restart them. It isn't clear though if they will be deleted or not.

Why do you say that? No different than the posters who brag about constantly buying new furniture, painting, redecorating. Talk about ego! And of course they have the best taste in the world when it comes to home décor. The "it's all about me" does get sickening.

It says that the commenting period will cease, and as I read it, a new thread can be started with the same title or maybe a similar title..
