I hope everyone will add their thoughts to the QVC Community thread before it's closed for comments.
Here's the link again:

I posted this response:
"Frankly, I think QVC needs to rethink the survey/poll process.
The 2 surveys were presented on the "home page" we would see if we clicked on QVC Community at the bottom of the page, and (in my opinion) were not prominently highlighted (so they were easy to overlook).
In addition, a large percentage of posters use bookmarks, bypass the "home" page, and enter directly into a specific forum. There was no notice posted at the top of the forums . . . and the end result is a considerable number of people saying they never even knew there was a survey.
And now there's a fair amount of frustration, confusion, and unhappiness with the conclusions made about changes to the community. If it were my decision, I'd start over with a new poll and make it prominently known and open for a week in order to allow most of the posters to be aware and participate.
Mind you, I'm glad to have the community available to us and appreciate the chance to provide feedback. But I do wish more of the community members had known about the surveys.

It doesn't matter a great deal to me, but I think if long-term threads are showing a lot of activity, they should not close them. I do notice that some threads are started over monthly (example: In Books, it says "what are you reading in August?") so that might be a possibility.

There sure has been a lot of thread poofing lately. It must be related to the board changes or something. Goodness.
I thought Ford's thread about the stock market story on 60 minutes earlier today was really interesting. I made a post about an internet theory and came back later to see what people had to add to it and it was gone.
I was like what the heck? Very disappointing. I never saw anything bad on the thread at all that warranted poofing. I wanted to read more of it.
Gee whiz....they may be going a little overboard on poofing now.
