In just this week, I have received two orders that someone in "quality control" must not have checked very closely. One order was IT CC cream with cosmetic brush. Brush was missing. The other item was a Luminara Lamp - I ordered ivory and got black. I have contacted customer service and they are fixing the problems, but, for me, returning items is a lot of trouble - I live a good ways from post office.

@moon_gazer  Pack up your items, and use the QVC label, and then go to the USPS website and request a pickup. Either they'll send someone or your regular carrier will pick up the packages.

It always amuses me when someone says their order wasn't checked by quality control. No place checks every item; that's not how QC works.  It is a process where random samples are checked.

@moon_gazerCan you get pick-up service for the return instead of having to go to the PO?

I'm surprised there isn't some scanning procedure in the warehouses that prevents the wrong item from being shipped -  unless even before the order hits the warehouse, I suppose a single digit different entered somewhere means the wrong item shows up.

As for that missing brush -  I can't even imagine how any company checks for that kind of error -  for sure no one is looking in thousands of boxes once they've been filled and sealed.  But I do hope they can send you a brush???

It should not be this difficult to ship people exactly what they order.  Just no excuse for it.  A 20% coupon off any item would be a good start...geesh.

@Skididdy I With the thousands and thousands of items Q sells, and I can see how easily a piece could be missing. I think somebody at the factory neglected to put it in and Q is not going to open every one of thousands of widgets to see if all the screws are there. I mention screws because I bought a TV from QVC some time ago and just got around to setting it up.  The 3 screws that hold it to the base were not in the box. I took the instructions to my neighborhood hardware and got the 3 screws in the correct size for $1.  No big deal.

I have returned so much product to the Q in the last couple of months because either it wasn't the color I ordered , defective or it just was inferior product. I only live 2 miles from our local post office so it's not a problem to return something, but I have to wonder why I'm still buying things from QVC. Oh yeh, I don't like to shop in a store, it takes too much time and they look sad when you return something.
