Hi,
I would be interested in your opinions on the following work situation.
We have a Human Resources type person who offers employees consultations regarding retirement/pension packages. This person is good friends with one of my co-workers. The HR person told my co-worker my birthday - not the year, but month and day, because my co-worker wanted to get me a little gift.
Even though my co-worker told me she only gave the month and day of my birthdate, I don't believe it for a second. I AM LIVID. I didn't say anything to my co-worker about it. I really don't know what, if anything, I should do. I don't want to cause trouble at the workplace but obviously the HR person is entirely unethical IMO. I also understand from my co-worker that the HR person has divulged personal information regarding other employees. The HR person is a gossip and a blabbermouth and she is in a position of high confidentiality.
What would you do? TIA.
