Just can't figure this system out. I receive Social Security direct deposit. Do not file income tax and by all means qualify and I received the first two no problem. Now when I check no information. They are working on it. But that's just the way it is.

Likely in the next batch!  Every Wednesday.  It was said they wanted to get money to working folk FIRST.  That makes a lot of sense, but others can still use this extra $$.  There was a target of 100MM people in the first 10 days of legislation signing.

Everything I've read this far says that if nothing has changed for SS recipients they will get direct deposit or deposit on their SS card (whichever they use).

I think someone posted about this herein @Elom

I figure it will come when direct SS payments come in acct.

Ours was in our checking account yesterday.  It was an extremely small amount; much less than we got for either of the first two payments.  I know we are over the income limit, but I was just surprised it was so much less than the others.  Those were adjusted too, but not like this one.

I am not complaining.  We are blessed to be in a good financial situation and I know many people are not.  I am just reporting about the difference.

That's a new one on me.   I thought the guidelines were absolute and haven't heard about how they were discounted according to your income level.

Very confusing.

Taken from an article on Business Insider 7 days ago.  Did not give a percentage for the discount.

Reduced checks go to people earning above those income limits but below $80,000 for single filers, $120,000 for head-of-household filers, and $160,000 for married joint filers.

Just a guess but since SS checks are deposited on different dates it is possible that those recipients due for their March check next Wednesday will also receive their stimulus check around that time.

It is possible that the first round this month lined up with those who receive their SS deposits during the second week of March.

I don't know how they determine how the stimulus checks are lined up but it would be reasonable and actually easier to line them up with the timing the SS deposits go out?

The previous 2 payments phased out from $150k-$200k (for a married couple filing jointly).  This one phases out from $150k-$160k, so it makes sense that it drops off faster.  Previously you could get a partial payment up to an income level of $200k, but with this most recent round, the max income for any payment at all is $160k.

My friend got $65.65 with the second check. She still works and the amount is based on income, single & those filling jointly.

@sunshine45   Ok.  Thanks.  It was just a thought.

It is a question, though, how some people receive their direct deposit so quickly and others do not.

I guess the SS deposits do not matter.

Maybe alphabetically?

LOL  Another guess.
