I've been in SF for three days, and haven't kept up here! (but I have an excuse...I was having fun!)
I hope you're feeling better, and have been able to progress to a walking type of cast. I know that makes life a whole lot easier, although you still have a ways to go before being 100% again.

Raven, best of luck healing, hope it's going well. Have a 'pin or two' in my right ankle. Nothing to laugh at. Take care and keep your foot elevated every chance you get. Be thinking of you.

Oh no . . . poor Raven . . . I had a bi-mal fracture a few years ago, was on vacation . . . WORST 3 months of my life. I could NOT get the swelling down, was weeks before I could get splint off and into cast and then into boot. But by the Grace of God I managed to NOT have surgery and plates & screws. It was pretty touch & go there for awhile IF it so much as moved in the slightest . . . I came across my not so fashionable boot while closet cleaning just yesterday!
Take Care Raven!!!

Hey Raven .... bouncing this up so you can find it. Hope you've been "resting". LOL I know you have, right?

thanks everyone....and thank you september
.......I'm doing pretty darn good considering....my foot and ankle are still really swollen......and yes Preds, I staying off it *said with fingers crossed*
.....go back in another week to find out IF they have to do surgery, but honestly I think I dodged that one......bruises are now starting to go from that purple/black to that gross yellow and purple.........I have never in my life seen a sole of a foot bruised.......no kidding, my whole foot starting about four inches above my ankle, including the sole of my foot was purple/black with the exception of the very end of my toes and big toe......I've managed the one crutch walk.......trust me, this takes some getting used to and it does NOT make sense to have the crutch on the good side....but it works, it really does, not to mention with one crutch you're not falling all the time which is a huge plus, thank you september for that advise, it helped me keep my sanity.......it doesn't hurt like it did, so it's getting better.
The only disheartening thing is...........when you get an injury, you hear the stories of people who have had the same type injury......and in this case, I keep hearing how long it takes to get back to "normal"........some people have said like a year......then you hear how cold weather bothered their ankle......I do not like being slowed down........I don't have the time to be slowed down.......I do NOT want to be slowed down.......that's the ONLY part of this whole deal that really twists my feathers....................................raven
