@threecees

Thanks for sharing!

The colors are so vivid...which makes it even more special.

Often, when I see rainbows, the colors are very faint...these are just perfect!

Just beautiful, @threecees  - thanks for sharing!

I personally can't remember ever seeing one before, so it's rare and special as far as I'm concerned.

Science can burst any happy bubble given the chance.

Technically ALL rainbows are double.  The second one is often very very faint and not seen.

 There are a couple of very special things about this photo.

1) the "Rare and special"  in this photo is that your DH thought of you when he saw that beautiful sight and thought this would be something special for you.  Points for that! ( Not that he may do that all the time, for you, but a lot of guys Don't)

2) Double rainbows are like Diamonds  you have to sift through a lot of ****** to find the special ones.  THIS one has good deinition on Both bows.  Worthy of capturing.

The FUN thing is, from now on, start LOOKING fot that faint 2nd bow!

 Another fun fact is rainbows are really rain circles.  If you can look at them from high enough up they make a circle.

No matter what anyone says it's a pretty picture.

When I lived in the Philippines and Hawaii I saw them frequently. However they never get old.

Wrong is still wrong just because you benefited from it.

@threecees - I am a fervent collector of rainbows, and your DH's beautiful shot is my happy find of the day.

Some day I'll learn to do a better job of photographing them with my iPhone but how lovely to have received this one unexpectedly!

THANK YOU! 🌈

@threecees : I took this photo from inside my house a few summers ago, at dusk. I live in NY. Maybe we're more prone to them here!
