Am I the only one who cannot see any detail on black clothing?  Why doesn't the host realize (or maybe does) that if you tell people that they might not be able to see detail and then go on to explain, maybe it is time to have another model wearing a color be the one to show the detail.  (Not sure if I am making sense!)

Just about everything on the Q comes in black.  Vendors are there to sell and they should be smart enough to bring the color forward.  I need to see every detail clearly.

@SXMGirlYou're certainly not wrong -  the black is rarely what it makes sense to use to show us details.  But I doubt the hosts get to choose -  seems to me the problem is with the producers and the stylists.  They ought to learn -  just because blacvk probably sells best doesn't mean it should dominate what they show.  I'm with you on this.

I absolutely agree with you.  And, many times the plus size models will be dressed in black and positioned at the back of the stage, so there is no way to tell what the garment looks like on a larger person.  It's impossible to see any details on black garments, but I think the hosts wear black because of the assumption that it makes a person look thinner.

I would occasionally watch a sewing show on the Create channel and she was always using either black or navy blue fabric for whatever it was she was making.  

I would turn it off because you couldn't see any of the details.

Yep, a good example is all those Golden Globes black dresses... were really hard to see details on them. I don't think modeling black clothes for TV is a good thing at all.

What I really love is the hosts dress either in all black or mostly in black and they tell us that we should wear color.  Ultra violet is this years color.  You'll never seen Issac in Ultra Violet, but we should buy that color.  Even close ups don't show anything in black.  Stylists, who dress the hosts and models should know better.    But thats my opinon.

Agree 100%.  I'll also inlcude on line photos of clothes -- it just looks like a black blob.  This is another example of Q's general sloppiness, IMO.

I agree. I can't even tell if someone is wearing leather as black does not show up well on TV. It's a little better on the Hi-Def, but you[d think the TV people would try to find some way to show black better, maybe with different lighting or camera angles.

You make a good point. Unless hosts or vendors specfically mention the details, there's really no way to see what things look like when they're showing black, or in most cases, wearing all black. Shoppers need to see details and determine if it's something they want to spend their money on, especially if some are looking for no-fuss fashion and don't care for all the extras on clothing.

I agree...and I especially hate it when they have a scarf on the model that covers detail...
