my house gets to 81 before I turn on the a/c then it's set to 77-78

I keep big metal fin fans running. You all wouldn't last long here. LOL

If we don't bill will be 500 or so. Last bill for June was 255.

@SharkE

I have several friends that moved to TX years ago and the love it.

While Maryland gets hot and humid, I think the TX heat is more relentless for longer.  But, I guess it depends where you are in the state.

MD is hot enough for me!

Like everything has good and bad.

wind is horrible some days,never have to worry about rain delays LOL

no real bad winters any more. Sunny in Jan. Yay !

heat bills rarely over 150 most times 100

only a/c bills that are a horror

insurance is probably higher because of people driving around without credentials.

no state income taxes, prop tax is froze at 65 Yay !

I'm no longer a big fan of summer anyway, but between the rain, heat and humidity, fall can't come soon enough. I wish it lasted for half the year. Two months of every other season and six months of fall. Works for me.

Iowa and Nebraska are going through this too.  There are still roads out, towns wiped out, standing water in a lot of places. and a lot of people struggling.
