Ladies, this evening, I went up to change out the litter pans and had just gotten the one in Radar's room cleaned and re-littered. He came upstairs and got right in (don't they always?), and it sounded like a fire hose in there. I thought to myself that he must have really needed to pe* badly. Imagine my shock when I discovered that what I had heard was bad diarrhea!!!!!! It was almost IMPOSSIBLE to scoop!!! In all the years I have had him, he has NEVER had diarrhea. EVER. I did a quick check around the house to see if there was something he could have gotten into and eaten to give him this misery, but there is NOTHING. I haven't switched foods or given him human foods at all.
I only put a small amount of kibble in his bowl when he went up to bed a short time ago, and he has a full bowl of fresh water, but I am worried that he will get dehydrated quickly if he has this problem all night. Any remedies you all are aware of? I really hate to drag him to Dr. Bowers tomorrow. I have a darned Board Meeting right after work tomorrow night and it's going to be difficult to try and finagle picking him back up from the vet. Why do these things only happen at THE most inconvenient times?!
Any advice any of you have would be much appreciated. TIA!
