Peter Max has died at age 88.Anyone alive in the 60s remember his wild colors and psychedelic images that appeared on posters, album covers and merch. His work personified the joy of youth. He suffered from dementia.

On the cruises we take there is usually an art auction. Peter Max was a big seller although not with us!

Yes, I certainly remember his art work from the 60's. I loved it so much. So colorful and I related to his style a lot.

I had two scarves with his designs that I wore in high school. One with a dress and one with sweaters. The one I wore with the dress was very long and I wore it like a tie. It was the whole length of the dress.

I sure did love me some Peter Max. RIP sir.Heart

We purchased a piece of  art from Peter Max . We meet him at an Art Showing in  Palm Desert on El Paseo . Not the bright style . Ours was an Etching .

We spoke of Lisa Robertson and had our private chuckle

Too many people are dying .

RIP

I remember him from when he presented his art on QVC and, of course, from the 60's.

back in the day his prints for dresses and accessories were the rage.  I believe Peter Maxx was a favorite of Liza Minnelli.  It was the late 60's. There were Peter Maxx clothing, posters, coffee cups. Everything!  He left quite a legacy in the field of art he prevailed in at the time!!

Back in the day, I thought his art work was just the coolest ever!  Sorry to read of his passing.  Nobody like him or like his work - one of a kind!

Sad to hear.  When I was a teen I had some Beatle posters by Peter Max hanging in my bedroom.

He sure was part of my youth though I wasn't aware of his background until I read about him after his passing.  Interesting background.  My friend had a pair of Peter Max tights!
