I think QVC needs to fix their search criteria. I did a search for Von Trapp, Maria, and even Vermont and nothing came up in Viewpoints.

I now see it is under the title: Another Passing. I think it would be nice if posters put more specific information in their titles. It would save a lot of duplicate threads.

I understand Linders - a while back a poster or two was annoyed with the thread titles were considered offensive or 'downers'. I was trying to accommodate but it isn't easy. It's a title that let's one know of a deceased person and maybe others don't want to know about another loss.

I can see your point, too. The only thing I really don't like are threads that are a famous person's name and that's all. Then I'm afraid to open it thinking they did die, when it's only something like "did you see the cute photo of him walking his dog?"

I guess we can't win.

I met her with my tour group and staying in their "lodge" or don't know what you call that.

They had after dinner a get together with whoever was left of the Trapp family and sang some songs. The restaurant (food) was fabulous. I walked around the area, and noticed that the "Trapps' or some of them, were buries right there. It was like being in a movie.

Maria was inspiration for the character of Louisa in The Sound of Music. May she rest in peace; she had a nice, long life.

The Von Trapp family is apparently branching out into all kinds of businesses. I recently went to a new Wegman's which opened up in MA and sampled a delicious cheese that reminded me of Port du Salut cheese. It was wonderful. Come to find out, it was made by the Von Trapp family in VT. I bought a wedge and have been enjoying it at home. I've never been to their resort in VT, but it is on my bucket list to go there some time. I hear it's beautiful.
