Talented and profound. He was a genius with the written word, and he will be celebrated forever!

Dear Leonard, may you find the Peace and Joy that often eluded you.
Blessed Be.
"For the Dreams We Hold, and the Memories We Will Never Forget" ~ We say Thank YOU.
The silencing of this powerful voice and lyricist from our hearing hits hard, very hard.

"Dance Me to the End of Love," . . . and all of the above.

I just sat here and listened again to Hallejulah, and, of course, I'm crying. What an amazing, exceptional talent he was. As for Hallejulah, one can always read into that magical, moving piece anything you want or need, but it is always cathartic. For me, anyway. If I have been stoically dealing with things, such as my ailing elderly dad and stepmother and this week's news, I can thank Leonard for helping me to feel it all, to cry about it, and to somehow come out the other end with a belief that things will somehow be ok in the end or at least a belief that the richness of any day's experiences--that tapestry of happy and sad, of light and dark--is to be treasured. Yes, Leonard: Hallejulah.

Closing Time is one of my top three favorites of his.

Oh, no wonder I didn't understand the "could this week get any worse comment?"
I've been so happy.

Oh I loved that man. He was so much a part of my young adulthood. We studied his lyrics and took them apart to break down his religious ideas. He was such a brilliant man.
Not long ago he said he was ready to die. He gave us so much.

Love the song and may he rest in peace!
