I always liked him.  He was a good actor, nice looking and had a great voice, imo.  He lived to be 91.

RIP Mr.  Kennedy.

CNN

"He passed Sunday morning, due to old age and some health issues," Schenkel said.

The New York-born Kennedy came by his military gravitas honestly; he served in World War II and spent 16 years in the U.S. Army, many of them with Armed Forces Radio. In the 1950s, he was an adviser to Phil Silvers' "Sgt. Bilko" show and then started getting acting roles.

My favorite George Kennedy line -- "They don't have emergencies anymore, they have Patroni's." --- from Airport.

Yes! I knew there was another disaster movie! He played the cop. He worked with the architect to rescue people.  I think Heston was the architect.  Kennedy gave the little white puppy to a very young Victoria Principal.

Sad to hear but he was well liked.  I remember him in "Bandolero"! with Raquel Welch.  He had a thing for her in the movie.
