Re: RIP ~ Edward Herrmann, Actor

Jack, I didn't know he narrated too. I've listed his profile because clearly, he did a lot.

I'm so sorry to hear that. Smiley Sad

I really liked him in many movies like Overboard, Big Business and Annie.

Re: RIP ~ Edward Herrmann, Actor

If you ever get a chance to see the Tv movie he did in 1981, The Private History of the Campaign that Failed, do watch it. A powerful Mark Twain anti-war story that takes place during the Civil War. He was amazing in that.

OT: (The young girl in the movie is Cynthia Nixon).

He was a great actor and 71 is much too young. {#emotions_dlg.sad}

He was FDR. Perfect. I loved him. I just read that he is the narrator on the Unbroken audio.

Re: RIP ~ Edward Herrmann, Actor

He played the best of 2 Roosevelt's! The other was the comedian who played Roosevelt. (The one in ghost busters). Bill Murray (it takes a few minutes) for total recall.

He also read David McCullough's book, John Adams. In spite of a couple of mispronunciations: Quincy (both the people and the city) as QuinCEE rather than QuinZEE; and Haverhill, Ma. as HAY-VER-HILL rather than HAYV-RILL, he did a wonderful job. Unless your a Massachusetts resident, you wouldn't notice those.
