@Puppy Lips

I don't remember the exact wording, but did you see a banner informing reviewers your review may take longer to post because of many buyers submitting them?

My reviews usually take a week or longer to be posted.  On occasion 2 weeks or longer.

You might be assuming your review wasn't approved because of Made In China, but there are other reasons why a review might not be accepted.

One example could be.  "QVC's price for the t-shirt was $39.99.  Later that day, I saw it at Macy's for $29.99 and couldn't cancel my order with QVC. You can see how that can be problematic.  That review is sending shoppers to Macy's.

You didn't say that, but as I said there are other reasons.  It's good to know them before submitting a review.

Why are you supporting QVC if you are trying to boycott (aka cancel) items made in China? That seems counterproductive.

You should probably also cancel QVC since this is such an important issue for you.

ITA , and well stated  ..  it has nothing to do with the fit or performance of the item being reviewed.

Nothing will change until congress makes it too expensive for American companies to outsource to other companies.

I made the unfortunate decision to buy the Denim and Co. TSV dress A471744, the French Terry dress that was sold on March 11.  I did not like the fit and am returning the two that I bought.  I wrote a review on the fit.

However, my title was, MADE IN CHINA, because it was made in China.  I stated the fact that it was made in China was not a deal breaker for me, but that it was for some.

Well, well, my review has not posted after 4 days.

It was in fact, made in China, just like any other fact about the dress.

I guess QVC does not want that to be known.  Was that somehow violating their review standards?  Or do they just not want anyone to know ahead of time where it was made?

@Puppy Lips

I think you are jumping to conclusions.  I've had a few reviews that took up to two weeks to post.  Four days is nothing, and it means nothing.

However, your "made in china" issue is misplaced, IMO.  QVC doesn't decide where a vendor has things manufactured.  Our country has trade agreements with most countries.  China isn't manufacturing this and that, putting it on ships and then sending it to the U.S. without contracts and authorizations previously in place.

Certainly you must realize that if you object to everything made in China, you will have VERY little to choose from.

I wonder how many people who complain about anything "imported" take the time to contact the company who is making those items ... or would spend the bigger bucks to buy only American-made.  Very few, I bet.

@Tinkrbl44 Okay, maybe my review still will be posted, but as of today, it hasn't.  With all due respect, you are also jumping to conclusions.  I stated that Made in China was NOT a deal breaker for me.  I have and buy many things that are made in China.  My beef, if you will, is that I think QVC should state exactly where the items are made in their descriptions.  That is why I made that title, because some people do not want to buy things that they don't necessarily need if they are made in China.  Denim and Co. is owned by QVC, so they certainly have a say in where their clothes are made.

@rms1954 No, I wasn't, and I don't care that it was made in China.  But many people do.  I was simply putting it out there so that others who want to read the reviews before buying it are aware of where it was made.

If I was concerned about where somthing was made I would check the internet. I would think most people would do that, but maybe I'm wrong. People assume that because something says imported, that it was made in China.

Where was the fabric imported from, the thread and whatever is needed to make the outfit? Different places. Could that little tag hold all this info?

If you weren't concerned that it was made in China why title your review that way? Guess you thought it was your responsibility to warn others.  I really don't care where clothing was made. I like it, I buy it. Those who are against it, you do you and I do me.

The only thing I won't buy is food stuff.

Your review might show up.

ITA ...  The OP was making a political statement, and that is frowned upon, and usually poofed.

While the garment she bought was made in China, it DOES NOT mean all the other D&C garments were.   Her title wasn't helpful, at all.

If country of origin wasn't a deal breaker, she shouldn't have bothered to mention it.   Reviews are supposed to mention things like fit, durability, laundry issues, etc etc.

LOTS of things are made in China which people have no problem with.

If you don't have a problem with the dress being made in China, then your beef is with QVC itself. Not about the dress.

A clothing review isn't the right place for a complaint about QVC's import policies. I agree with you that they should state the country of manufacture for products. But a review is not that place to complain about that.

If your review is not posted that would be why. You went off topic and did not stick to discussing the clothing item. Also if you gave a low rating because of your issue with QVC's policies, that would bias the ratings negatively about the particular item in an inaccurate way. Your rating should not be included in that case.
