BEAUTIFUL Fall day here in the Ozarks, going for an hour walk at lunch.
Word!
I'd love to be there, bet it's beautiful.

Somehow, I don't think we could come to said agreement.
Perspective, the new gray.
Exactly, Marianne.
How about pointing the fingers at ourselves instead of at others? I agree this conversation has been ongoing for years. As long as each of us thinks it's the other person who's creating the problem, or it's the other person who needs self-reflection and change, nothing will be different. Sure, we need to let the moderators know how we feel about the management ... that's always a good thing for customers to do. But unless we, as the forum members, alter our patterns the moderators alone can't make this a better place.
If we keep doing the same things and acting the same way, we're going to keep getting the same results, right?
If I want change, I probably need to change myself. Same is true for everyone. And unless we are an active, willing, part of the improvements, we'll be here 2 years from now in the same conversation. Or, perhaps, the community will be closed.
I know, I know ... I've said it all before. My comments, just like this thread topic, are "Déjà vu all over again," to quote the quirky wisdom of Yogi Berra.
ITA Doob. ITA also with Jig Saw, she is the captain of her own ship.
As far as the complaining thread being closed, there comes a point when every complaint possible as already been said then it gets repetitive and mind numbing.
About honesty being a cause for webbie to re-ban, I was referring to someone who creates a new nic of their own volition, not where a banning had occurred. Still, there are ways to convey an honest heart without being specific.
And really, the bottom line is how we interact right now. I honestly read every post without reading old history into it, I take it at its face-value except where it is obviously impossible if it contains innuendo, accusations, etc. There's way too much of that.
About complaining about hosts and wanting to continue to do it, it seems the logical path would be to go to the host's FaceBook even if you have to create an account there for yourself. The hosts read their FB page and there's nothing like direct communication to make your point heard.
Thanks, Free, I agree with your comments, too. Only thing I would add: I've found it's easy to communicate with the "Social Team" when it's needed, and I think Gato provided a courageous, honest and beneficial service by letting everyone know it can be done.
So, we can do what we think is our best without quaking in our boots thinking we'll be banned with no recourse.

Very wise advice from Marp, as always.
I always loved it when that was her siggy.

Well said ... said in agreement ... can also be used to say "hey, what's up?" (Urban Dictionary).
Edit: Or, as a bro might say to another bro ... "word up."
