Let me start by saying I KNOW THIS IS PETTY, and there are much worse things going on in the world, but we all get annoyed about little things in life. I am (and have been for a long time) annyed with Subway!
I don't eat meat so the only sub I ever get is the Veggie Delite, which comes with four half, thin slices of cheese plus your choice of veggies on a 12" sub. I always order a 12", as DH eats half of mine along with his. A Veggie Delite sub is $5. There are other subs that are $5 also, but they have meat on them, AND they have the same amount of cheese!! DH always orders one of the meat subs, and I have counted the slices of meat they put on some of them. I believe one sub in particular has almost 15 slices of meat plus the same amount of cheese as a Veggie Delite.
Tonight DH and I went to Subway, and I got my usual Veggie Delite. DH got a 12" cold cut combo, which was on sale for $4. After I ate my half of a sub I realized I had just paid $1 more to NOT get the cold cuts! DH told me I should have ordered a cold cut combo and taken the meat off to give to him. He's right!
Why doesn't Subway either put more cheese on their Veggie Delite subs to make up for the meat your not getting or charge less for the Veggie Delite subs?
Has anyone else noticed this? Sorry for such a petty rant. I very seldom post such things.
