Questions about Second Degree Burns

I have been to the doctor and he said it would heal in a day or two.....it is all gone except for my pinky finger and my ring finger on my right hand....the one I use the most.......I have been putting a generic of Silverdene cream since Monday night and today it looks really brownish with some red.......and it feels like the top layer of my finger is plastic....a light plastic on top of the wound but it is from the burn.....I have been keeping it bandaged....mu doctor is not going to do anything about it but my neighbor said to take off the bandage so air can get to it..........what would you do and what have you done if this happened to you?

If you have had a second degree burn what were the last things happening during healing? Thank you.
