One of my co-workers at my job is a wonderful person, kind caring and a good worker. An all around nice person but she is very quiet by nature. As far as I am concerned that is most definitely not a problem as I am quiet also and accept people as they are.

Our supervisor and some co-workers make fun of her being quiet. They are by nature a noisy, loud bunch and I guess do not understand quiet people. I am sure they mean no harm but I think it is not a nice thing to make people feel uncomfortable even if you do not mean it. She has confided to me that this bothers her very much. I have told her to just ignore them and do her job. We are there for a paycheck, they are not our friends. I can sympathize with her as I know how it feels to be uncomfortable in the workplace.

I welcome your opinions on this. Thanks.
