Question re. Casey Anthony case and cable TV....

Someone told me that if you have Direct TV (I do) you can call them and ask them to add a channel to your lineup for a period of time. I think I would be interested in picking up the Casey Anthony trial, which is supposed to last two months. Would anyone know how I go about that? Should I just contact Direct TV, or do I need to know what channel out of Orlando the trial will be on? I'm not very familiar with electronic tech-type things.
