Hello, I was recently gifted by a long time feral cat with kittens. There were 4, one died and I do not know the details, but think he was just sickly from the begining from my observations.
The remaining three are healthy and robust and are stickin together on our back deck. I have ordered a nice cedar house with a solar roof that should get them through the cold and snow alright. They currently have nice digs under a patio table covered with tarps, underneath are heating pet pads, beds etc. They have clearly adopted us and are vocal about getting feed etc. My neighbor down the street actually has a license to manage colonies and she/we was successful in catching all three and so they are ALL fixed now, all three. Bless her heart that she does that work because it is a great relief. My condo neighbors are very fussy and nasty when it comes to these issues and just hate animals in general, so no love there. One of the kittens spends a great deal of time just looking in the sliding door watching for me, he just stares in and my dogs who are highly neurotic just sit there and stare back, it is funny. He is about 3-4 months now.
Although I am a huge animal lover I am feeling a bit over whelmed, there are just alot of animals in this world that seem to need help and are hungry and good grief so many people with means just do nothing, it totally peeves me. Breaking them up would be creul, I don't want to bring them in, any suggestions. Frankly we will have snow soon and and I want to make sure they are comfortable but not call attention to my deck, feeling over whelmed. Any similar stories or experiences to share. I have 4 pets inside so they can't join the party. I have heard they prefer to be wild, but this guy wants in!!!
