Question for those with Comcast cable

We have 3 tv's. 2 HD/DVR boxes and one just digital box. Every single time we turn on HSN on any of our tv's, it changes to HSN and then won't let us change to anything else. The entire thing freezes and you're stuck on HSN. Channel up and down on the remote won't work, volume won't work, on demand button won't work- nothing.

Sometimes after about 5 minutes, it will "release" and you'll be able to change the channel. Sometimes it requires unplugging the box and plugging it back in. Sometimes that doesn't even help.

My husband mistakenly landed on HSN this afternoon, got stuck and I called Comcast. They were clueless. I asked for a supervisor. As always, I was told that one wasn't available. The guy I spoke with, while nice, kept saying "umm.... I don't know what to tell you." He wanted to send a technician out to replace all 3 boxes. Uh no.... how about we ask someone else if they've ever heard about this problem and have a work around that I could do from here before we do that. Nice guy, but I gave up with him.

I called back again and got someone else. I couldn't understand a single word he said to me so I asked him to repeat himself. It was a little better, but I gave up and told him never mind.

Finally, I got the box to change the channel.

Does anyone else who has Comcast cable have the problem of getting stuck on HSN?
