Re: Question for the mods, please

I'm pleased it lasted as long as it did, with most people I believe, enjoying the fashion commentary and pictures people were nice enough to post.

Let's be kind to each other, and give each other the benefit of the doubt.

Re: Question for the mods, please

So why not just zap the offending posts?

Why "punish" others for a few offenders.
It makes no sense if a thread is being moderated.

Yes, unfortunately the "Fashions in D.C." thread was closed because there were some post made off topic after a 2nd statement was made to stay on the topic of "Fashion".

We welcome the conversation of to talk about anyones "Fashion". When post are made to turn the conversation to other topics that are not allowed the thread can be "closed or deleted".

Thank you, Paulette. It is a shame to miss the chance to chat with like minded folks interested in fashion at big events. Truth of the matter is that politics can ruin discussion of fashion at the Oscars in Hollywood even though that is not the purpose of the thread started on this board. Smiley Sad

'Offending' is in the eye of the beholder, tho.

```````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````
The beholder is the moderator employed by QVC. She/he is the final arbitor.
Most threads could go on if the offending posts are removed.
Re: Question for the mods, please
And what about the "Changing Houses" thread? That started out being a pretty interesting conversation about the WH and the procedures of how things are done with each change. No names were mentioned and it was respectful. No politics were brought into it.
Re: Question for the mods, please
Sadly, the same few keep shoving their insults/opinions/agenda MASKED as "honest" posts in threads that are often very interesting and people want to read. Sad also that the MAJORITY was able to post without using this technique but as always, the same few MUST ruin for the majority.
Thank you. Another interesting thread ruined by the same individuals. Nice.
Mods do what they have to do and as long as there are those who play this game, the mods will have to close threads.
My only question is why the IP address can't be banned by those engaging in this behavior. It doesn't take long for members to recognize the names so....
In any event, there it is.
Re: Question for the mods, please
The mods job, as I understand it, is to remove posts/threads that go against standards. Remove those and let the others stand.
Pretty simple imo and straightforward.
