I will try to keep this simple. However, more info may be needed to answer.
Here is my generic question. If someone hires a job that requires a license and you don't make sure they have a license to do the job, is the one that hires the job responsible?
Please don't tell me to go get a lawyer as that is in the works now.
By the way, I am the injured party and I'm not sure who is at fault. The person that hired the non-licensed contractor or the non-licensed contractor.
Any ideas?
