Many available K-cups from various companies are biodegradable. Many use their own coffee in the older model Keurigs. Companies used to encourage recycling if you sent them used K-cups. Don't know if they still do.

So - the OP isn't really about wanting to know how K-cup users might recycle, it's just a slam at Keurig owners in general. That was my initial impression, but thanks for confirming. Carry on.

no, I don't recycle my k-cups.....I drink one or two cups a day...so I am not making a lot of waste....really didn't know you could recycle them...I put a plastic container in my recycle bin this past week....and they left it....not sure why...I have put them in the recycle often...can't imagine what they would do with the k-cups....

Some of the K-cups I use (my particular favorites, Peets and San Francisco Bay) are recyclable and some are not. I don't stress out over it, or feel guilty about it.

It's one of the things I don't do for the environment.
I do recycle pretty much all my papers, bottles, cans, etc. I have never driven an SUV or traded cars every other year. I haven't ever gotten rid of a TV set while it was still working so I could have a bigger screen. All those actions help the environment. Also, I never added a human being to the planets population, so with all that, I'm not feeling in the last guilty about tossing my K-cups - in this house that's about 100 of them in a whole year since I brew my own coffee.
Saving the planet is like saving money - you don't have to save on every single action - you just have to do some very significant things that have an effect.
