Controversial is subjective....what one person feels is controversial isn't to another....I think the webbies fail to be consistant in what they deem controversial or not....this adds to confusion on these boards as to why some threads remain way too long while others instantly go poof....it is also possible the webbies do not know that discussing current events is not necessarily a controversial topic.

Bear in mind that the topic may have nothing to do with why something is deleted. In most cases, it is how people react to the topic -- and each other -- that determines whether something is deleted.

I think many people automatically assume that QVC deletes something because the moderators do not like it; in many cases, though, it gets deleted because omne board contributors can refuse to act like adults.
