@EatWell Please don't answer this rude out of line question. @september It is none of your business. It is not OK to shame anyone about what they eat!

@URFat, was @september out of line?

Re: Question about ordering food

I've been posting here a long time, and am aware that some posters aren't sincere...that's why I asked.

that amount of food for one person, even allowing for leftovers for other days, is hard to imagine.

Re: Question about ordering food

I started using Uber Eats ad opposed to Door Dash. I find by me Uber Eats has cheap or no delivery fees. Tonight I ordered Greek food and the fee was 99 cents.  You can check the sites for the ones who have the lowest fees.

i sometimes order extra food also to have for a couple of days. There is no shame in that.

Actually, the poster's nic is IMFat, which kind of makes me suspicious that someone who truly has a weight issue would choose such a nic.

but those of you who want to play along....go ahead.

Just trying to use proper grammar.  She also frequently posts the inspirational motto at the bottom of her posts "If you put food in front of me I will eat it"

Re: Question about ordering food

@songbird  Door Dash isn't the only place that delivers.  There are a lot of other places.   All I did was google:  "What are places that delivers food".

Then you go to some of them....you type in your zip code and it will tell you if this particular place delivers to your area.

Door Dash, Uber Eats, Postmate, Grubhub, Instacart, Shipt

That's a few of them.  CVS pharmacy here in the East will deliver medicine to you.  However some of these mentioned (Instacart and Shipt will deliver medicine and various other items than food).

Before the Virus happened I didn't have many options.  However, since the virus (and my daughter staying here) suddenly there are a lot of options for everyone.

You don't even have to leave your house these days if you don't want to.

Drs?  They are still willing to do Skype.  Many of them will do it.

Since my daughter has been here I've learned so many things about computers, etc.

We have the CVS service for prescriptions.

Re: Question about ordering food

I don't know if they do.  Daughter was just rattling off names to me and I was typing them in.

Well you seem to be doing everything available.

One thing we found out (she knew...I didn't) is sometimes a place will deliver food to an area and even within hours, they might not.

@songbird  Suggest you download the Caviar app or go to trycaviar dot com to see if they deliver to your area.

Re: Question about ordering food

You are so fortunate to have such a wonderful, caring daughter! I hope your recovery is going well. I have been purging since we stopped going out and am now starting another round of it...this time, I am targeting winter clothes. I have been cooking almost every meal and we get takeout occasionally but haven’t tried delivery yet. DH prefers to go do pickup. We have almost every restaurant imaginable nearby so we avoid a delivery fee.
