Question about email providers

I have had my email for years with Cox Cable and you know when you get an email from someone and it has a cute cartoon or pictures on it, not as an attachment but a part of the email itself. Well, I always want to forward cute things or pictures to my friends and my email will not forward anything unless it is an attachment, which these are not. My question - Can I get another email with another provider just for stuff I want to forward and if so, does anyone know of a good one, preferably free of course. I hope this makes sense.
