Question about Walking Dead

Please help me understand some things....I have read and tried to find out on the internet but I am still confused. I missed the last few of the season 2 episodes. Thank you.

1) Will we ever know who is the father of Lori's baby? Did Lori ever tell Rick that she thought Shane might be the father? Did Rick know about she and Shane before she died?

2) What happened to Shane and between Shane and Randall and then between Rick and Shane? What happened to Randall? I don't understand how Shane turned. When did he get bitten and die?

Thank you. I am caught up now but these things confused me.
