Question Regarding Semipostal Stamp

I need to order some stamps and while I was looking at the various stamps I noticed a stamp for "Healing PTSD". I am definitely interested in this stamp. I understand it cost more and I understand some of the cost goes toward the healing of PTSD. It does not say "forever" instead it says First Class USA. My question is does anyone know if there a length of time this stamp is good for or is it considered a "forever" stamp.

My 2 cents: If it doesn't say Forever 55 on the website, I doubt it is. Email USPS & ask.

Re: Question Regarding Semipostal Stamp

Forever stamps have forever printed on them so my guess would be the stamp would always be good but if the price of postage goes up you will have to purchase additonal postage to use it.

Call and speak with someone at your local Post Office.

Re: Question Regarding Semipostal Stamp

I thought all the stamps now were "Forever" stamps, but I could be wrong.  Perhaps stamps that contribute to a cause are not.  Or maybe putting the word, "forever," on them spoils the design or message.

Calling the PO in "the best of times" is a challenge. They are responsive to email IME.

Re: Question Regarding Semipostal Stamp

Yes. It is a forever stamp. It is valid for postage at the CURRENT first class rate. It can be used indefinitely on letters and cards. I continue to use the breast cancer first class stamps that I purchased three years ago even though the rates have gone up. It cannot be used for overweight envelopes, like some wedding invitations with enclosures, or for airmail out of country.

@DLew  .... Thank you! I finally did get through to the post office. The first two (2) said they did not know. Finally called one of the larger post offices in the next county and they verified it was classified a forever stamp. Makes me feel a lot better with you verifying it also. Again, thank you. I believe strongly in this cause I will be ordering the stamps.

@Sheila P-Burg

You're welcome. It's nice to support a cause and spread awareness.
