I don't watch any other shopping channel, so I am just curious about this.

Do any of the other channels "showcase" just one host they way QVC constantly showcases Lisa? Seems there's just more and more and more Lisa all the time. I can't imagine the other QVC hosts "love" this.

I think some of the younger, ambitious, female hosts probably harbor a bit of resentment toward Lisa R. But the rational, experienced, long time show hosts; they know that Lisa is a big, big draw, she draws in the shoppers and that is good for QVC's bottom line. Any thing that enriches QVC, means job security for them. I don't watch HSN much anymore but I think Colleen Lopez is the big cheese over there; the "it" girl. Every shopping channel has it's stars, the ones who pull in mega sales.

Well, thanks for satisfying my curiosity, crystaltree. Since I don't watch the other channels I had just been wondering about it -- especially lately since Lisa now has her own Web page, her Pinterest "ten things we don't know about her" (or something like that) -- along with everything else. As I said -- just curious.

I do watch HSN sometimes, but I'm not all that familiar with the hosts & their popularity. I get the impression that Colleen Lopez has some pull, & I've guessed it has to do with seniority. I don't know, maybe it's popularity with customers.

I'm watching QVC less & less because so many of the hosts that have been there a long time have become boring & predictable to me & I can't relate to the newer, much younger hosts.

I DVR shows of interest to me and most of them are on hsn and shophq. I have no idea how they decide which host does what, but I am thinking that having an expert on jewelry presenting electronics would better serve their customers by having a host that is more well versed in electronics.

Have no idea about Lisa, but what I remember is that I didn't see her selling too many carpet cleaners or step ladders and the like.

I would have to say on HSN it's Colleen but I don't know that she gets as much showcasing as Lisa does. Colleen is the host that is sent to the jewelry shows like JCK. She hosts a show every Thursday night called The List with Colleen Lopez that is a one hour style and accessories show and she also has a monthly show called The Silver Gallery that is her show.

Then a few times a year she has what they call a My Favorite Things show which is her favorite jewelry and clothing items, under her name. Like Lisa, she doesn't design the items, she sees some of the jewelry in catalogs and asks the buyers to copy them and most of the clothing she buys from boutiques and stores and has them recreated.

It does seem that much of the time when HSN is launching a celebrity like Niki Minaj, Mariah Carey, etc. they have Colleen kick off the TS for that celeb. But when they have celebrity singers and chefs and stuff, they rotate the hosts.

The only one that comes to mind is Colleen from HSN. I dont watch ShopHQ that often, so I cannot speak for them..but I am sure there are one or two hosts that are featured.

I'm not even sure who Colleen is but I think Bill (Green?) is a ""star"" HSN host.

I watch all the shopping channels and buy from them all too! No, I think the Q is the only one that has a top seller and makes them a star on their channel. Colleen from HSN is a very popular host, but HSN does not promote her like the Q does LR.

I used to see Bobbi (?) on the other channel quite often but she seems to be on less. But then I don't watch very often so that could be why. I do see Colleen is featured on many of their promos.
