Does anyone know if vendors have any input about which hosts they prefer to work with for their programming? It's apparent some of QVC's owned shows have first-choice in the hosts and time-slots used.
ETA: Do vendors complete a review or survey for each host and program they work with on a QVC? Please add how you know this information.

I have no inside information and doubt anyone else would, but my thought is that the producers schedule whomever they feel the best host for a show will be for the first time. After that is would be 100% based on how the sales were vs forecasted sales.

I am not privy to that information, but would wager the most successful vendors WILL have some say with whom they are scheduled.😁 It makes perfect business sense because the rapport of the vendor and host CAN influence sales; positively and negatively.😊
A perfect example is how often Valerie and Rick are paired together! They have GREAT rapport, and items frequently sell out during their shows.❤ I believe their pairing is purposeful because of how well they complement each other.😁
I am hoping our more knowledgeable posters can help answer your question.🤞

@BirkiLady. I don't think any of us have that kind of information. It's obvious that Susan likes and often appears with Pat, and Kim is with Mary and Rachel but who knows whose decision results in those pairings?

No one here can answer that question because we have no personal knowledge of the inner workings of QVC.

I have no inside information either, but I agree with you @SandySparkles.
I really think the more successful and well-known vendors can request certain hosts.
I know some are going to say "a salesperson can sell anything," but I have to admit I'm more likely to watch or DVR if I think the host is enthusiastic about the line. ![]()

I'm going with a big fat YES on this one and models too. Joan Rivers always worked with Kathy Levine and models Suzanne and Stacie. Dennis Basso worked with Lisa Robertson. Louis Dell Olio had Kate and his lovely wife Jac model his clothes. Lisa Mason always worked with Valerie Parr Hill. More recently, Jennifer Coffey with Susan Graver.

I tend to agree @Jaspersmom .
