Question About Post - Can Anyone Shed Some Light?

Something very embarrasing happened to me yesterday. I was posting on a thread and had trouble inserting a space between words. I kept hitting the space bar and nothing. Finally I went to another line, finished my post and did a spell check. When I hit submit I was mortified to find there were, I believe, 10 posts of my response. Well we all know that they cannot be deleted so they all had to stay. I'm sure others wondered what I was doing. (Wanted to bury my head under the blankets.)

Does anyone have a clue why this would happen? Didn't know anything would post until you hit submit. Shouldn't we be able to delete our own posts?
