Maybe thats why we went to lab by drs office where we have gone for years and they said they didnt take our insurance. I hate walmart, never shop there...ever. Just my peraonal thing. Now we have to fond another lab, and we already travel 1.5 hrs to doctor. Q i have almost given up on medical care. When I was really sick a while back, I couldnt travel so far. I said to myself, if I die ...I die. I'm saved. Lol

Ours too, hope it doesn't change.
My PCP mails me the scrip for blood work so that when I go in for our appt. the two of us have my results in front of us.
Good for directed conversation and future issues.
i also bring in my list of comments and questions so I make the most of our time there. Since she has electronic records, whenever I change specialists, I fax the info to her office.
She is one of the sharpest and brightest doctors I have ever known. She was doing stuff early on that just now is becoming standard operating practice. Love her !

Quest is the worst lab ever! When I had two surgeries within a week four years ago...they repeatedly sent huge invoices to Aetna and Aetna refused to pay any of them because they were ridiculously high. My PCP just moved to a new building with their own lab..much better. I would never want to get bloodwork done at Walmart!
Last year, while undergoing a lot of testing before and after my thyroidectomy, my local Quest messed up my tests 3 or 4 times. I’ve changed locations, but still need to go to Quest. Labcorp doesn’t run one of my specialized tests.

Our local Walmart is actually a very nice store. It’s not a huge mega store, and is in a nice rural area. Much nicer than the one we used to go to. I don’t shop there often. But I wouldn’t mind going there for my Quest blood tests, as long as they had their own independent facility, like the clinics at Target.
Currently, the Quest where I go is located in a large office/medical building, in a very busy corner of our county. And I have to park in a large parking garage. I really don’t feel safe being alone in that parking garage. So, depending on how it’s set up, I’d rather take the pleasant drive to Walmart. We’ve gotten our eyeglass prescriptions filled at this Walmart, and the optical company they use is great.

Wal-Mart adding a Quest lab draw station inside their stores will be no different than having a vision center, nail salon, hair salon, cell phone center, tax center, etc. in their stores, which is what’s already available in my local store.
I don’t use any of those other services, and do my best to avoid going to Wal-Mart period. However, for some people, a draw station in Wal-Mart will be very convenient for them, which is the whole purpose of the partnership.
