Today I received a coat Ugg Sherpa.  Upon trying it on I put my hands in pocket.

One pocket had a used tissue, part of a panty liner and a used floss stick.

So gross!  Not only was I sent a coat worn by someone else but the pockets were never checked when it was sent,   It was also too big.  If it fit and didn't have anything in pocket I would be wearing a used coat!
I called customer service and reported it.  I also put it in a review but they won't publish that!
QVC is cutting corners, 3 items stuffed in one box ( but we can't do that), some have no return slips, some items put in bags which need a box for security.etc., etc.!

I also think I should have had some compensation for this having been a customer for 30 years.  It makes me think I shouldn't be buying clothes anymore,

@JDo

That's just disgusting!  I buy very little clothing from QVC.  Kim Gravel jeans are about  it.  I have more than enough clothing for my needs and I gave up impulse buying.  While I can I refuse to pay $50+ for a french terry top especially since IMO the quality is no longer there.

@JDo    Yes, the pockets surely should have  been checked before this was sent.  However, its routine for QVC to ship multiple items in one package when possible.  Customers criticized them for not doing this.  You most certainly can return multiple items in one package.  You should have asked CS for a return label.  Call for one.

@JDo   Wow..... You are right....this IS so gross on so many levels..... At least 3 anyway....those 3 used items you mentioned couldn't be any grosser.  I will say, though, while QVC definitely dropped the ball on this one, I surely don't think much of the first recipient who had the coat in their possession and then returned it like that.  Shame on them, too.

I would give everything I own just to have you back again.......David Gates of Bread

That happened to me many years ago with an As Is jacket.  That was my first and only As Is purchase.   I reached in the pocket and there was a lipstick smeared tissue.  Quality control doesn't mean they inspect every single item. That would be humanly impossible.  They inspect a small percentage, at random.  And in recent years, people have shared complaints like yours.  A used item sold as new.  Qvc and HSN both package items beautifully in plastic bags. Often with tissue paper.  So if I ever receive an item that isn't packaged in the manner I have come to expect after 30 plus years, I'd just send it back.  No second thoughts.  I don't do As Is and prices are so high that I won't accept used items.

Exactly @chrystaltree

Anyone who has worked in retail or warehousing of ANY type know this to be true.

You can easilly tell if you have received a previously return item.

The label would be a reprint...and it would be square.

Original first time labels are long, thinner rectangles, with the printing in bold.

I've had this happen to me a couple of times over the years.  That's why I stopped purchasing "as is" items.    Too risky that I may have to return it.  As far as them inspecting the item, someone has to receive the return and place it back in stock, so call me crazy but in that time you simply cannot do a quick inspection and check the pockets????  Seriously.

I guess I am fortunate.  I have purchased several "as is" items, and they all looked like new.
